INK AFTER DARK

INK AFTER DARK trades conventional paint for squid ink, a material capable of smoke-gray transparency, velvety black, blue-black depth, sudden blooms, tide lines, stains, and edges sharp enough to feel cut.
Artist and instructor Edizu guides participants through dilution, diffusion, pooling, layering, and expressive mark-making. The workshop begins with controlled tests so you can see how the ink moves, separates, settles, and darkens. From there, you will build an original work that uses the material’s unpredictability without surrendering composition or intent.
This is a hands-on introduction for curious beginners and experienced artists who want to unsettle their habits. Expect experimentation, material observation, and a little nocturnal atmosphere. Final materials, clothing guidance, capacity, age policy, and what participants take home should be confirmed with the ticket listing.
