Sports, international broadcasts, major cultural moments, special screenings, and communal watch events become something larger when the room reacts at once.

Social Stack Pass

The Social Stack Pass gives you a full year of eligible ELT soft-social nights: quiet writing, patient handwork, sketchbooks, shared listening, books, conversation, and being around other people without being forced to perform for them.
Bring a project. Bring a page. Bring one record worth hearing. Bring nothing and begin when you arrive.
Includes:
General admission to eligible recurring ELT social nights throughout 2027.
Writer’s Night, Slow Make Night, Sketchbook Social, Listening Room, Reading Room, and other published Social Stack programs when offered.

Gallery Stack Pass
Follow the work from installation to argument.
The Gallery Stack Pass is for people who want to stay close to what happens inside UNION at Erie Labor Temple: exhibitions, artist conversations, previews, commissions, editions, openings, after-hours programs, and the work behind the wall label.
Many exhibition openings will remain open to the public. This pass goes further. It helps underwrite the exhibition program while giving its holder deeper access to the people, processes, and ideas shaping the gallery.
Includes:
Six admissions to eligible paid gallery talks, salons, demonstrations, previews, and exhibition programs.
Advance registration for limited-capacity UNION programs.
Invitations to selected passholder previews and installation walk-throughs.
10% off eligible UNION-published editions and exhibition publications.
One guest admission to a selected Gallery Stack program.

ELT Workshop Stack Pass

Spend 2027 learning at the table. The ELT Workshop Stack Pass gives you six workshop credits to use across eligible hands-on classes taught by artists, makers, designers, writers, educators, and working creative people.
Come for print, image, object, sound, paper, repair, writing, experimental craft, and the techniques we have not announced yet. Leave with a skill, a finished piece, or a better understanding of how the work gets made.
Includes:
Six $50 credits toward eligible ELT workshops.
Advance reservation access before general registration.
10% off additional eligible ELT workshops during 2027.
Credit may be applied toward a higher-priced workshop, with the difference paid at registration.

The BOOKFORGE Workshop Stack Pass gives you six workshop credits for eligible 2027 bookbinding, book arts, design-binding, decorative-paper, artist-book, and book-repair classes taught through BOOKFORGE at Erie Labor Temple.
Begin with a folded sheet. Leave with an object built to be opened, handled, used, and kept.

Six $65 credits toward eligible BOOKFORGE workshops.

The Awards Stack Pass is your seat for ELT’s eligible 2027 awards-night gatherings: ballots, performances, speeches, arguments, improbable wins, beautiful disasters, and the moments everyone will be discussing the next morning.

Erie Labor Temple is not being built by good intentions alone.
It takes people who can prepare a wall, carry a table, welcome a stranger, document a program, organize supplies, work a front door, research a lead, reset a room, solve a practical problem, and stay long enough to sweep the floor afterward.
Some work is public. Some happens before the doors open. All of it matters.
ELT volunteers help care for the building, prepare studios and gallery spaces, support events, welcome visitors, document the work, strengthen communications, research funding, and turn unfinished plans into useful public infrastructure.
You do not need to know everything. You do need to communicate, respect the building, respect the people inside it, and be willing to do real work with care.
Tell us what you can do, when you can show up, and where you would be most useful. We will work to connect your time and skills to an actual need.

The ELT Field Report is a working dispatch from 1701 State Street: upcoming events, workshop registration, open studios, calls for artists and volunteers, building progress, objects found in the walls, new work entering the rooms, and the practical needs that will determine what happens next.
Some editions will invite you to attend. Some will ask you to participate. Some will show you what changed while the doors were closed.
Every issue is part public notice, part field note, and part record of a historic labor building being returned to active use through creative work.
