UNION FINE ART GALLERY

Coming this fall, UNION Fine Art Gallery will open its doors as a new home for serious contemporary work, meaningful conversation, and the kind of cultural momentum Erie has earned. Whether you are an artist, collector, supporter, curious neighbor, or someone simply hungry for something real, we cannot wait to welcome you into the room. Keep your eyes on Erie Labor Temple and get ready—UNION is coming this fall.

UNION Fine Art Gallery at Erie Labor Temple is not being imagined as a polite little add-on. It is being built as a necessary cultural force inside a city that deserves a sharper, bolder, more contemporary art platform. Housed within the historic Erie Labor Temple, UNION is where working artists, serious ideas, and ambitious public culture meet under one roof. This gallery is inevitable for Erie because the city already has the talent, the audiences, the history, and the hunger—it simply needs a space willing to operate at full voltage. UNION is meant to be that space: civic-minded but uncompromising, rooted in Erie but never provincial, and committed to presenting exhibitions that feel alive, urgent, and worth showing up for.

At its core, UNION Fine Art Gallery will focus on curated exhibitions that balance regional strength with wider contemporary relevance. Programming is planned to include juried shows, invitational exhibitions, thematic group shows, design- and concept-driven installations, artist book and fine craft exhibitions, experimental cross-disciplinary work, and select solo presentations that give artists room to make a real statement. The gallery will also support editions, special project drops, exhibition-linked publications, artist talks, receptions, critique-centered gatherings, collector-friendly events, performances, and building-wide cultural activations that connect the gallery to the broader Erie Labor Temple ecosystem. Rather than treating art as something to quietly hang on a wall, UNION intends to make exhibitions feel like public events—social, electric, thought-provoking, and deeply connected to the creative life of the city.
