INK SHIFT 2026 - Session 01

October 1, 2026 at 6:30:00 PM

October 1, 2026 Clock in at 6:30 PM, Make the Mark 7 PM, Leave the Evidence 10 PM

INK SHIFT 2026 turns October into a working record of what happens when artists return to ink day after day. Participants are invited to draw, test, fail, repeat, and document the traces of that practice through weekly digital contributions to the REGISTER and optional Thursday work sessions at Erie Labor Temple. Selected work, process material, and evidence will move into THE BLACK REGISTER at UNION at Erie Labor Temple, while BOOKFORGE preserves part of the month in THE OCTOBER REGISTER / VOL. 01—a physical archive built to outlast the feed.

Clock in. Make the mark. Leave the evidence.

What to Expect

INK SHIFT 2026 is a month-long, open-participation ink practice at Erie Labor Temple built around repetition, experimentation, failure, and visible process. Artists work throughout October, contribute weekly evidence to the REGISTER, and selected work culminates in THE BLACK REGISTER exhibition at UNION on November 5.
