Writer's Night

September 9, 2026 at 6:00:00 PM

Every Wednesday 6-10 PM

Writer’s Night is a weekly, low-pressure gathering for people who work with words. Bring a poem, story, essay, script, journal, song lyric, zine, manuscript, strange fragment, stubborn paragraph, or a completely blank page.

This is not a workshop, critique group, class, or required reading circle. You can write quietly on your own, revise something already underway, talk craft with another writer, trade feedback when invited, read a piece aloud, or simply use the evening as protected time to get words onto the page. Participation is self-directed, and there is no expectation that you share your work.

Writers at any stage are welcome—from people who have never called themselves writers to people deep into a manuscript. Bring whatever tools you prefer: notebook, typewriter, laptop, loose pages, index cards, or something less predictable.

Like all ELT Soft Socials, Writer’s Night is room-fluid and adapts to the building around it. Find a table, settle in, and make some words.

Keep the Power On

ELT runs on repetition—nights that return, programs that build, and a room worth showing up for. Passes, sponsors, and members keep the stack alive.
