COPTIC ECO-JOURNALS // AFTER HOURS is a deeper introduction to exposed-spine linked sewing. Participants work through grain direction, section construction, sewing stations, board attachment, thread management, linked stitches, tension, squaring, and the failure points that distinguish a sound binding from one that merely looks correct.
Reclaimed book board, rescued decorative materials, surplus paper, and saved production materials become part of the finished object rather than studio waste. Participants leave with one completed exposed-spine journal and a technical sewing map designed to make the structure repeatable outside the classroom.
18+ only. Beginners are welcome, but expect real bookbinding. Materials included.
